Arts Enter's Dance Instructors Tour Schools

On October 19th Christina Conrad and Karma Butler, both dance instructors at Arts Enter, visited Northampton Middle School, Northampton Middle School, Kiptopeke Elementary School and Broadwater Academy.

Their goal was to expose the students to different forms of dance and to teach youth why dance is a beneficial art form physically and mentally.

During their 45 minute program, named "LIFE IS MOTION…Dance", Christina and Karma performed four different dance styles and gave the students the opportunity to ask questions about dance in general. They also asked questions about what Christina and Karma have done in their personal dance careers.

Both instructors focused on the fact that all movement can be transformed into dance, and that dance is not only an art form of the body but one also of the mind and soul.

Different dance styles are offered 7 days a week at Arts Enter. Monday through Friday Christina teaches, ballet, modern, jazz, and tap; every other Saturday Karma teaches Hip-Hop; and On Sunday Jacob Jennings, a professional ballroom teacher, teaches ballroom and Latin dance.
